But when I try to click change sim card, and it says it has to do tfa it only gives the option to send it to the phone number. Everytime I hit resend code it just sends a different code to the phone number unlike the initial process of logging into the app where it gives the option for text phone or voicemail. Why is it inconsistent like this?

Hi there,

My phone is water damaged and I can’t access text messages. I am transferring all my iCloud data to a new phone and switching phone plans. However in order for me to make sure the number gets ported I would have to change it from an e sim to a physical sim and put it in a phone and get the other provider to port the number over. But I can’t do this if the only way to change the sim is being prompted to put a pin from a text sent to my phone as it is dead. I need help.
