You would need to purchase a new Public Mobile mobile SIM card from a Telus store or re-download the Public Mobile app to your phone and purchase an eSIM and activate the service again.

That means paying for another month with no refund. Once the line is up and running, then contact the new provider again to start the porting process all over.

You cannot destroy or cancel the previous SIM or account until you know for a fact that your new service is working if you ever want to keep your same phone number.

To port out to another carrier, you'll need to contact the carrier that you're porting to for fixing any issues.
