Using data while gaming

When i go outside my house and play online games with my data and keep in mine that i have 30-40+ gigabytes left and i play games like brawl stars or among us it either loads but is very laggy or takes forever to load or i get disconnected and it says i can’t connect to the server but when i play other games like pokemon go it works fine. i am just wondering what the problem is or if there is a solution. when i play these games i am in an area where 5G network is provided as well as LTE

hi @norsang

it is not new that Telus network, which PM uses, will throttle gaming and streaming traffic. Usually 10% of the maximum speed of your plan. So, it could be because of that and probably Brawl Stars is more speed sensitive than Pokemon Go. Many gamer will use VPN as a workaround

or if you like, you can try Reboot phone than click Reset network settings and test again. Also, try on both 4G and 5G network (manually change the network mode on the phone)
