Based on my plan, it looks like data will be covered in the US. Do i need to turn on roaming for this? Or just go on my merry way and use data as I please. I dont want any extra charges. Thanks.

Be aware...with Public Mobile, you'll never get billed later on for any overages or anything. It's a pre-paid service so you pay ahead of time for service. Once you reach your data limit...it just stops until next regular plan renewal (or you buy add-on data). Turn roaming on and just leave it on...you can't go over your limit.

If you have Canada US plan, then yes, it is covered

But you still have to turn on Roaming Mobile Data on the phone. And make sure your phone connects to AT&T or Verizon or T-Mobile

As already stated, you may need to go into cellular and manually choose a network there. Just a heads up, if you receive a text message asking you to purchase a US addon, just ignore it. Those are standard text messages. Enjoy your trip, come back safe.
