Yes, it will work in Hawaii. You’ll be roaming on one of the U.S. partner networks, such as T-Mobile, AT&T, or Verizon, depending on coverage in the area. Have a fun trip!

Just make sure data roaming is turned on. If for some reason calling, texting, or data isn’t working, try manually switching networks and testing each one. In my experience, T-Mobile tends to work best.

while in USA, you MUST have a cellphone that is VoLTE recognized in Public Mobile. Here's some reading with a device checker at the bottom of the article..

Without VoLTE, your calls won't connect whilst in USA.
