Very poor reception

I’m on a 4G plan, however I only have 3G reception. I thought this might be due to my older model phone, however I have upgraded to a new device and the problem persists. I’m considering upgrading to a 5G plan, but hesitate as I’m not convinced this will help. For reference, although I am in an area that does not have excellent reception, none of the neighbours I’ve checked with (various carriers) are experiencing this problem. Thoughts..?

Thank you!

5G isn't about signal strength. It's about faster data speeds.

What phone are you using? Have you tried to reset your network settings forcing you back on the network?

The plan you have is not related to reception or network connection at all. All plans can connect to the whole network of 3G/4G/5G.

Thank you for your response. I’m using an iPhone 14 Pro Max. I did try to reset my network settings. The phone is showing that I’m connected to PM, but still no reception?
