US Texting

@Moderator_Team I am in the United States and getting messages that US texting is not included in my plan. However, I have international texting included. Is there any way to correct this?

@jrdmacdo international texting means you can text anywhere from withing canada. in the usa you need to buy a 10 day usa addon. there are various options talk, text, data or combos of the three.

@jrdmacdo, international texting means you can send international texts from canada. However, if you are in the US, you must purchase a US roaming add-on that includes text. There is an $8 / 10 day US roaming texting(only) plan available. There are other options as well in the add-ons for US roaming.

@jrdmacdo you're not the first and very likely will not be the last to misinterpret what "international texting" means, unfortunately. It's not especially clear from the plan builder page to be honest, and I can definitely see how "international" could lead one to think that means it can be used anywhere.

On the bright side, at the very minimum, you can at least receive your incoming texts while in the USA for free and without any add-ons. But as soon as you try to reply or to send a text in general, you will get that message you mentioned that says you can't [without the US Roaming texting add on].
