I cannot change my plan to a cheaper one. The only plans that show up when I click on "change your subscription" are more expensive ones. When I try "shop plans" the answer is "you already have an active subscribtion. What do I need to do?

Yes, many face the same situation. You can only change to the plans presented to you when you choose change subscription.

The shop plans offers will be different from your own plans.

It's awful, but nothing you can do if you don't want what's listed.

If I unsubscribe, would I be able to purchase a new plan?

No, that would not work. The only way would be to port out to a new provider and port back.

You would be considered a new customer, good for the deal, but you would lose any credits you currently have, no refund. You would need to create a new email and start all over.

Adding, no Public Mobile does not have a customer service phone number. Self serve online only. And they don't make exceptions.
