Successful Telus Port! (I think)

I'd just like to thank PM for offering this amazing deal!

I'll start off by saying I was with Telus previously and have successfully ported over here seamlessly. The process took literally no more than 5 minutes, including filling details and the actually porting of the number.

As soon as I reboot my phone, I was connected with Public Mobile and was able to text, call, and data instantaneously.

My only question though, is since I was ported successfully, shouldn't have I gotten a welcome to PM message saying that my port was complete? I'm only wondering because everything is working completely fine, I would just like to know if there's something wrong ahha.

Anyways, if anyone is looking to make the switch, or is on the fence, I can answer some questions to in the meantime!

Check to see if incoming communications are working.

The fact that you can send texts, make calls, and use data does not necessarily mean that the porting is complete.

Oh yes, I guess I did forget to mention, I have been able to receive calls and text the minute I set it up ahha!

Which, i'm guessing makes my port successful. This post was rather for curiosity sake's on whether the Public mobile text was actually a requirement for a port to be considered complete!

I was in the same boat as you. I switched from Koodo to Public Mobile and had no problems porting (was done in 15 minutes). Everything worked in terms of calling and texting, but I never received the congratulations text from them and was worried. I activated in November 3 and haven't run into problems, so I wouldn't worry about it.
