I use my private phone for work, so I always have my caller ID turned off (so the person I call sees a blocked number only), however, twice this past week the person I am calling sees my private cell number. Both times this has happened I’ve called my friend to see what they see when I call, and they see a “blocked number”….so not everyone can see my number, but some definitely can. This is a safety/security issue. Anyone else have this happen or have an idea how to stop it? I’ve toggled my caller id on/off in settings in my iPhone, it didn’t help (the last call I made, my number was visible to the caller).

These are work related calls (people that are strangers to me, and I am to them). So I don’t think that’s it.

I have had my iPhone “show caller ID” turned “off” for over a year because I use it for work. Only some recipients seem to be able to see my number (2 this past week to my knowledge). When I call someone in the room with me, to see what they see, it says “No Caller ID”, yet 2 people this past week could see me number (and one called me back!)
