I'm glad there's a strong community commited to the

So I ported my number over from Rogers' to Public Mobile on Nov 10th

I need assistance in resolving some issues which are:

1) Cannot receive incoming calls

2) Cannot exchange text incoming or outgoing (mostly)

The positives and things that are working as intended are:

a) Data is working great

b) Can make outgoing calls

c) Can exchange text between people that are under the Telus network (not sure to what extent)

d)

Things I've tried to troubleshoot:

i) Restarting the phone

ii) Reinserting the SIM card

iii) Gone through the steps provided in the forums for APN setup

iv) Called rogers and they said they have no record of an attempt to port my number over

hi..

your port hasn't fully completed...you would receive a text from PM to say, that your port was successful... so give it a little longer..... in the meantime your rogers card should still be active and if you have a spare phone you could use that to receive calls....

cheers

Sorry to hear you are having issues. Sounds like youa re stuck mid port of a number. Unfortunately the system is down for maintenance this weekend and not sure if there are any MODS on right now to assist. I understand how this can be very frustrating. The only think I can recommend is if you have two phones is to carry them both one with your old provider and one with PM. Or you can check your old sim and see if it is still fully functioning and run it until this gets resolved.

If Rogers has no record of the port that means your Rogers SIM is probably still active with your number as wel. You should PM a mod with your information and they can look into getting your number fully ported properly.

http://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/Announcements/Information-required-before-sending-a-message/m-p/85858

I got 3 texts from PM after my porting (which I've deleted unfortunately because I thought it meant all was working properly). One mentioned my PIN, another my rewards, and the last one I think welcoming me.

Should I be receiving a different kind of text followed by these initial 3 stating my port is complete?

i'll try using my Rogers SIM for now and will also private message a mod, thanks.

BTW private messaging one mod sends the message to every mod correct?

Ya that was an accident. I put that duplicate as Solved hoping it won't attract attention and answers. Should I delete it for safe measure.

So we're waiting on Rogers even though they have not received anything from Public Mobile?
