Hello. I see the lowest mobile plan with Public Mobile is $20 whereas Koodo is offering a $15. plan. I'm inquiring for a senior citizen that if they had to use a quarter every time, they made a phone call it might not total more than $2-$3 per month. They don't use text and all calls would be local. Would rather they go with PM but if there's no other solution to bring the cost down, I will have to refer them to Koodo.

Unfortunately, there isn't a plan that is targeted towards seniors. Public Mobile has recently abolished its most budget friendly plan so sadly, people on a fixed income or who rarely use their cellphone service might be better off looking at other cellphone service providers.

I have friends that are on this annual plan.

That is $8.33/month.

I agree totally. Telus "Mobility for Good" does not address all senior income levels. To qualify they have to be receiving Guaranteed Income Supplement which the GIS threshold is $1,870 per month. With living expenses on the rise and the need for internet and a phone to connect with essential services frankly, it's shameful that mobile companies are not offering better rates.
