      <description>&lt;P&gt;When attempting to transfer my Bell cell number (active and currently working), I get this message. How can a number be invalid?       <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/604231"&gt;@Hanoj&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;your number is from Forth Smith, numbers in the area are exclusive to Bell Mobility and Northwestel and you can only port your number within these 2 carriers (or their sub-brands like Virgin or Lucky).&amp;nbsp; No other carriers have a "rate center" in this city and hence you cannot port your number elsewhere&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if you want to join Public Mobile, you have to choose a new phone number.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
