      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/616665"&gt;@2312591&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You can port your number while activating a new PM account. &amp;nbsp;Or you could activate with a new PM phone number and then decide later to port your number over. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;It is self service and you will need to provide the necessary information to get the port request started. &amp;nbsp;Usually need your present carrier's account number, phone number and account holder name. &amp;nbsp;Once you submit the information, keep your old carrier SIM card in the phone. &amp;nbsp;Respond "yes" to the port request text. &amp;nbsp;Usually within a few hours, the port request is completed.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Here is some additional information:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;A href="https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/get-help/articles/transfer-your-number" target="_blank"&gt;https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/get-help/articles/transfer-your-number&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
