Transfering Sim card to unlocked phone while in US

I am in the U.S. for the next 4 months and my old iphone 8 is dying. I want to buy a refurbished iphone 13 mini down here but I am wondering there will be any difficulty with transfering the Sim card to an unlocked phone while in the US.

no difficulty, but you have a Canada/US/MEX plan? it is better you have that so you can test right a way

@Leia63 If you have a physical sim, a can/us plan and the seller is able to allow you to put your sim in to test the phones capabilities, that would be your best bet. With your physical sim in the refurbished phone, If everything seems to work (calls, texts and data) you are good to go. Hope this helps
