Calling into the US

Hello,

I have recently transferred from Chatr to PM with a plan for talk & text to Canada & US. However, when trying to call into Puerto Rico (yes it is part of the US) I get an error message saying that I cannot make calls into this region...

This is the first time that I have problems like this... Never had this problem with Chatr. What is the solution here? Please help.

Puerto Rico is a Caribbean island and unincorporated U.S. territory. Under United States law, an unincorporated territory is an area controlled by the United States government which is not part of (i.e., "incorporated" in) the United States.

I would think Puerto Rico would be included given that it is included for the US Roaming packages.

Can you call mainland USA?

I think this is different - @Alaf123 did not get a long distance add-on. It sounds like it's a Cda/US wide plan. So I will ask again, can you call mainland USA?

It is listed as one of the 18 International locations we can call so to me that mean you need to purchase the International Long Distance add-on for $15 for 400 minutes. I do not think it is considered part of the US for calling. The long distance add-on will roll over until you use all of your minutes up and not a monthly charge.

Yes I am able to call continental United States. The plan simply says US and does not state anywhere that PR is excluded. With Chatr, this was not an issue and I was able to call all US including it's territories.
