Hello

No, service does not work in Australia because public mobile only offers roaming within Canada, the United States and Mexico. You will not have any signal or service outside of those countries, and you will be unable to receive calls or texts, which is critical for receiving two-factor authentication codes.

Best advise that I've seen some other members say is to download an app like textnow and get a local number and the an esim or sim card from Australia and use the textnow to communicate back home here to Canada.

Enjoy your trip... mate. 😋

Consider downloading Whatsapp to talk / text with others who download that app. You’ll be using local wifi or separatley purchased data.
