My current plan includes Canada, US, Mexico minutes and messaging. Why do I receive a text regarding add ons when I am near the US border?

@Mommabear4

ignore the text. That text will be sent to everyone with or without Canada/US/Mexico plan or Roaming add-on, it is just a default text to send whenever US network sees your phone

But if you don't want your phone to hop between US-Canada networks when you are close to the border, as it will drain your battery too, you might want to change it to Manual network and choose Public Mobile to lock it. You can change it back to Automatic when you are making the US/Mexico trip
