Hello,

I need to use my phone number in Central America. Since there is no roaming outside of USA with PM, what can I do? How can I set up call and text forwarding so that I can receive them on another phone number when I am roaming outside of USA and Canada?

you need to setup the roaming before you leave Canada.

If you already have a phone number to forward, set it up before you leave

but if you don't have the overseas phone number yet, download VoIP app like TextNow, setup a phone number and you can forward the number to the TextNow number. With TextNow, you can use the app whenever you have Wifi or Mobile Data

You will need to purchase a local SIM in Central America or you can use WhatsApp or Fongo when connected to wifi.

You might also consider using an E-Sim specifically for use in Latin America or even just one single country. I personally have used Airalo.

Hello, I just bought a VOIP.ms DID number which will be associated (on their website) with my current PM number. However do I need to do anything else in PM account? Thx

Nope you don’t need to do anything further if you are using a VoIP. Just have to connect to wifi wherever you are located.

After purchasing a DID number from Voip.ms and setting it up using their system, it doesn't work and they told me I need to contact my phone provider (PM) in order to get it set up since obviously they have no access to my current PM number.
