During activation, they’ll have the option to transfer their existing number.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;They just need to make sure their current number is &lt;STRONG&gt;active&lt;/STRONG&gt; with the old provider before starting the porting process.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/84541"&gt;@cgross&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Your friend can activate either an eSIM or physical sim.&amp;nbsp; If he chooses sim,&lt;SPAN&gt;&amp;nbsp;get a Public Mobile sim card from Telus/Koodo/Mobile Klink or online via&amp;nbsp; Amazon.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Then download PM app on his phone and start Subscription using hr PM app&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;He will be promoted about phone number after the Payment step.&amp;nbsp; Make sure his current mobile service is active.&amp;nbsp; Provide PM the old provider's account number as the porting info and complete the subscription.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;After the account is activated, make sure he leave the old provider's sim in the phone.&amp;nbsp; His old provider will send him a Porting Authorization Text and he need to reply YES within 90 minutes.&amp;nbsp; After he replied, he can wait another 2 hours and insert the PM sim card in the phone and test both incoming/outgoing calls&lt;/P&gt;</description>
