data usage Iphone to Android

Hello, i am having issues with data usage since I have a new texting buddy that has a google pixel. I have a Iphone. The pictures seem to add to data usage. Any solutions that don't include increasing my data plan?

Pictures are data free it doesn't use data to send them. Check your data before and after you send a picture. If it does you need to contact an agent for help

@Ginamcgraw yes, the picture you sent could use mobile data.

It could be you were using RCS to send to Android friend, RCS needs mobile data or Wifi to work. To avoid using data when sending pictures, please disable RCS on your iPhone Settings and make sure Send MMS is enabled
