Yes, many people have noticed that they might not be able to change to a cheaper plan. Whatever you see as the lowest when you sign is, is what they are allowing you to switch to.

Only other option would be to port out and back. But this will require new email, loss of rewards to date. Might be more trouble than it's worth. Best to change to cheapest you see and watch in the next few weeks if they offer something even cheaper.

Have you tried contacting to all roaming partners? Roaming is on?

Hello, I recently changed my plan to ULCWUSMEX but since I'm having trouble making phone calls and data in Mexico, I'd like to change my plan to a basic plan while I'm down here. The problem I'm having now is I can't change it for a less expensive plan, prices only go up: $45 or higher. How can I change it back to a lower plan, basically just to keep my number. Thanks!

@Maru07

whilst in Mexico, make sure you have Roaming enabled in settings. Now, you should be able to use data when connected to AT&T, Telcel or Movistar.

You should be able to call your family and friends in Canada by dialing +1 area code number.

Public Mobile has rigged it so that once you have a higher value plan...you can't downgrade to a plan that's much cheaper than the one you currently have.
