      <description>&lt;P&gt;Sorry to bump an old thread, but I'll be porting a number away from Ooma next year (kid's first phone), so just wanted to ask if anyone has any recent experience doing this?&amp;nbsp; The above instructions are from 2020, do they still work?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;hi&amp;nbsp;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/592678"&gt;@ZaneMich&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;pretty much same instructions.&amp;nbsp; Make sure you have a Canadian phone number, you cannot port US phone number here&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;make sure the Ooma account is active.&amp;nbsp; You don't have to cancel it, it will be cancelled after the number is ported&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;there is no porting authorization text needed to port from VoIP carrier, but at the same time, the porting will take 3 to 7 days&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
