I will purchase a iPhone 17. Since they don’t offer solid sim slots anymore, while my current iPhone uses a SIM card. How do I transfer from SIM to eSIM on the next phone?

Congrats.

When you get your new phone, you have to download the public mobile app to the phone.

Go to purchase Physical SIM card purchase eSIM, pay the $5.00 and it will automatically transfer your existing phone number to your new phone.

i have just purchased an iphone 17 and i need a esim but the app is under maintenance. this is very inconvenient because i need my phone for work related reasons. when will it be off maintenance and can i purchase it without the app.

Maintenance periods do not last 1 to 2 business days. They usually last a few hours.
