Disable voicemail

I'm trying to receive a call from the US but it's going to voicemail before it rings on my phone. Is it possible to disable voicemail so it gives me the opportunity to answer?

this has nothing to do with Voicemail "stole" your call, so disabling Voicemail won't help

what model of phone do you have? do you get that inbound calls trouble a lot? It could be a problem that your phone is not VoLTE whitelisted on PM and still using 3G for voice , and the phone not changing to 3G fast enough

try changing the network mode to 3G or WCDMA and see if you can receive the call from US

No, this is the first time I've had an issue but I don't get a lot of calls from the US. It would be a landline to my cell phone.
