Request for Access to Verification Code From old number

I no longer have access to my old phone number (647) xxx-xxxx, but I need to receive a verification code that is being sent to this number in order to log into my Facebook account.

Could you please advise if there is a way for me to temporarily regain access to this number, or receive the code through an alternative method?

No,, no way can do that

You need to contact Facebook helpdesk and ask them to update the phone number. This is one of the major problem for 2FA with SMS

Never give 2FA code to others as there are security consequences
We should not encourage others to ask for 2FA code even with a valid reason
