Please note that from July 31 2025, PM started collecting E911 Fees for provincial governments for those provinces that have the charge (AB, NB, NF, NS, NWT, PEI, QB, SK):

The charge is based on the area code of the phone number. You can find out more and the exact charge for your province here:

are you in Northwest Territories or Nunevat ?? they are the "$3" territories. This is a government fees and not a PM plan price increase

From a customer's point of view, this is still a price increase. I know of nothing that says that the Public Mobile has to pass this fee on to the customer. I'm uncertain as to why the recent change, but these fees have existed for several years, even before Public Mobile decided to start charging it.
