Activate eSIM and Manage Plans Without the App

Hi there,

Since I'm not from Canada, and the Public Mobile app is not available.

Before subscribing to a plan, I wanted to ask: Is it possible to activate an eSIM and manage subscriptions entirely through a browser, without needing the dedicated app?

hi @kevinweng

for activating esim, you need the app as it will install the esim for you.

Some people tried to ask friend to download the app and subscribe and just stop process from installing the esim on the friend's device, then use the esim qr code they received in email. But this is tricky and most missed the time to stop. So, I would not suggest

it is easier to activate physical sim without app. You can use the browser and get to payment page, then submit ticket with PM support agent and ask them to help with the steps on the app.

it is possible for me to just buy it on website, and scan qr code to install esim by myself?

not possible. All subscriptions need to use app to complete. With physical sim, there is workaround with help from PM

with eSIM, no workaround.
