if you have a Canada / us plan or a 15 Day us Roaming add-on, you should have no problem with text/data whilst in usa. You must however have a cellphone that Public Mobile has recognized as VoLTE enabled. Without that, your calls won't complete while in us...text and data will work just fine. Make sure you're connecting to AT&T or T-Mobile. When you get to us border, you'll likely get a "Welcome to US ...and to buy talk minutes"...you can just ignore that message.

You have to have USA/Can/Mex plan in order to use phone in all 3 countries.

As for the coverage it might depend on many factors; some customers have no issues, some do...

PM roam with 3 major US providers, AT&T , T-Mobile and Verizon, so it is really full coverage unless you are in really rural area

And if your phone has 4G and 5G, really should have no problem
