I am in India right now and need the ability to receive calls and messages on my Public Mobile number while I am here.

Please help.

Sorry, PM does not have roaming service in India and there is no way you can receive calls or text on your PM phone

if you just need to make calls and text with friends, a workaround is to download VoIP app like Fongo and make and receive calls using the app

but if you need to receive 2FA text, there is really no workaround. You have to contact the banks or businesses and have the 2FA change to email or Authenticator app

Thank you. Is there way I can provide my PM number to the apps like Fongo so that I don't have to share a new number to my contacts while I am here?

Fongo has to use whatever phone number that is activated on the Fongo account. You'll need to provide the new number to your contacts.
