I need to use my phone in the UK while on holiday? What do I have to do?

nothing much to do and nothing you can do. PM does not have roaming in UK and you won't get any PM services there

PM has only roaming service in US and Mexico. So, no service in UK. You won't get calls or text or data there

you need to use travel esim or local data sim for data and use VoIP app like TextNow to make/receive calls

You can use WhatsApp when connected to wifi or on the data from the local SIM in the UK.

you won't be able to use Public Mobile services once you leave Canada for UK. What you can do is...before going away, download the free voip app TextNow. You'll get to select a free local phone number so others can call / message you while you're away. The thing is..you need to have a wifi signal to be able to talk / text while in UK...but seems like free wifi is everywhere now. If you buy a local UK data only plan available at airport...you can use that data as well as wifi to talk/text in UK.

If you have an apple product, you can also use WhatsApp for talk and text using wifi or data in UK...but your fam and friends at home must also have Whatsapp on their phones too.

We have used giffgaff, and they will send you a free SIM card to Canada, or you can download an eSIM.

Plans include EU roaming and data. To call Canada free from there, we used Fongo.

Both worked well.
