If I get the $30 plan with 20gb that says data for Canada/us, does this mean I can use data in us and not be charged roaming fees or any other fees than my normal monthly subscription?

Yes @Queen1 you are correct. You can use the data in US as well, no extra charges

But you still need to enable roaming data on your phone for it to work

And you can also call US from Canada and call Canada from US for free

Then I turned on data roaming and rebooted my phone. Once it was back up, I was able to make and take calls, text and use my data. I did a bunch of FaceTime with folks back home in Canada. Wasn't charged a penny for it. The package you want is nice to have for when you go down to the US. No hidden fees or costs. Use it like home. Enjoy your trip.

@Queen1

Public Mobile has no traditional "roaming fees". Once your data limit is reached...data just stops working until your next regular plan renewal OR you purchase a US data add-on.

For talk while in US, you must have a newer cell that is VoLTE recognized by Public Mobile as not all are. Here's some info and scroll to bottom of the page to find a VoLTE checker to see if yours is...

https://www.publicmobile.ca/en/get-help/articles/volte
