In the past year, or less, we gave our son a public mobile account. He has received numerous phone calls that we have continually blocked looking for a person named Frank. The phone calls have not lessoned, and despite constantly blocking the numbers, they call using another means/phone number. Is there a way to get a new phone number, so our son doesn't continue receiving phone calls for someone who owes a bunch of money?

They probably won't believe you, but telling them to stop calling or ignoring them is all you can do. Somebody used your phone number as contact info and didn't pay a bill. The debt collectors call any number on file to try to collect.

Go to settings, set up do not disturb to run 24 hrs per day. On the section that asks who is permitted to override do not disturb choose all contacts or favorites for both calls and messages. The bill collectors can still call but phone won't ring, it will just go to voicemail unless you pick up. Your contacts or favorites will ring.
