sometimes I get a image text which I can't download/see, eventhough I'm on wifi, please advise if I have to use Data all the time,

yes, you need Mobile data to be on to send and receive MMS, Wifi is not enough

Remember to turn on Mobile data to receive the MMS text, actually , you need to turn it on to send as well

and what phone do you have? make sure you update the APN as follow

APN: sp.mb.com
MMSC: http://aliasredirect.net/proxy/mb/mmsc
MMSC proxy: mmscproxy.mobility.ca
MMS port: 8799
MCC: 302
MNC: 220
APN Type: default,supl,mms

make sure that Data is enabled in cellphone settings. What make is your phone ?

LG G7 was released back in 2018. It is a bit old, you might want to consider to get a new phone.

Also, the G7 is not compatible with PM 3G network, it could affect your voice calls down the road. Yes, you might have no problem now, but PM is reframing one of the two 3G bands, it means in some area, the 3G voice might not work as good.
