Have any of you ever wondered if you could an email to your phone number well all you got to do is put your phone number in and this :

your number with area code@msg.telus.com doing this helped me receive some notifications from a courier service I was using to make sure my packages were showing up on time and at that I got package notification or updates.

@Saskcracker1982 Yes, it actually makes it quite easy to send things from my Windows PC to my iPhone. I generally send by email from my iPhone, but the email to text makes it handy to send long strings of text.

To sent as regular SMS message, please use this email address format:

10digitnumber@msg.telus.com

To send an email to MMS with a picture (or other binary filetype), the email address format is:

10digitnumber@mms.mb.telus.com

However, look like some changes were made on the system, could be due to anti-spamming. Lately, many reported that only messages sent as plain text would work. Usually you have to click "Send as plain text" on your email client or you have to go to the web interface (like Gmail. com) to actually send the email

Also, remember "Email to SMS/MMS" is an legacy and unsupported feature. Many providers have stopped this and just that Telus is still keeping it for now

@softech I’ve only sent just plain strings of text using this service. Larger files that I send from my iPhone to my PC are usually easier to send via email or through Google Drive.

Many couriers offer direct sms notification, why not use that? I notice the email to text is really hit or miss, you can't rely on that 100%
