If I buy data add on July 10 and do not use all the data, and my subscription renewal date is July 20. Do I lose my data or is it still good for 30 days.

You will lose it at renewal. Once renewal comes, they start using the plan data again first, so the add-on will be paused.

Assuming you don't finish your plan data in 2 days, you lose the rest.

While it still good till August 10, the system will not use the data add-on after your renewal on 20th, it will use your new cycle data until it is used up before using the data add-on you bought. in other words, the data add-on is still there but pretty much wasted. But enough data for use for the next 10 days , not more

@TheSterlinger as far as I understand, technically we don't lose it at renewal. Just the system need to reprogram to use the data add-on first.
