I have bought a new phone. The sim card is stuck in it. If I use the Change Your Sim Card feature in the account to change the sim card do I loose any days? do I have to repay for a whole month or do I just carry on to my next renewal date.? Is there any danger of me loosing my telephone number???

There shouldn’t be any charge for a simple work.

Is it the same with an E-Sim? If I were to get an e-sim would it work the same way? That is I pay the 5 dollars for the e-sim - my old number switches with no loss of time?

Switching SIMs keep everything you have on your account: bonuses, funds, add-ons, etc. Same is true if you switch Plans.
And switching eSIM (getting a new one if old fails or you change phones) should be free while obtaining new physical SIM will cost you price of SIM.
