    <description>&lt;P&gt;Just as a follow up.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;1. These spam calls started after I moved from legacy $15 plan to new $15 plan.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;2. Set up Do Not Disturb on iPhone and obviously no more ringing of calls fro numbers not in my contacts list.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have 2 more numbers scheduled for the same change over. Will see if same happens.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;I find it odd that the spam calls stopped as Do Not Disturb only prevents the phone from ringing but calls can accept voicemail and should show in “recents”. &amp;nbsp;I have no voicemail and no recents.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;They sounded like they originated out of India. Poor English and lots of talk and noise in the background.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;For:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Illegitimate Amazon orders ( I have no payment set up on Amazon)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;TD visa issues (I don’t have a TD Visa)&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;New router for Bell internet. (I live in B.C. and Bell does not provide internet services here)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;So, of course I play with them. &amp;nbsp;Ha ha. Some hang up right after I ask what name is in the account and some hang up mid conversation.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;If you &amp;nbsp;call back, the number &amp;nbsp;is not in service. Spoofed!! I expected that.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;STRONG&gt;My main question is … does Telus/PM detect that the caller is spoofing and does Telus/PM terminate the call?&lt;/STRONG&gt;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Spoofing is easy to do when using VoIP. And way back we used to get calls from those “V” numbers and a while back I believe the CTRC directed the Canadian Telcos to only accept calls from numbers that follow the proper protocols?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/289858"&gt;@Grinch&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I got about a few a day too so I use the Truecaller app but some gets through.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I don’t block the number anymore since the number was spoofed.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Currently I don’t think not much can be done until the CTRC should do something about these callers.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

Normally I get NO calls (boo hoo) to my phone other than scheduled calls from doctors.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Today I found it very odd that I received 8 spam calls.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;And good point….don't bother blocking them, as there is no justification to do so.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have an iPhone and “used” to have Focus set up on it to only accept calls from numbers in my contacts. I found that to have flaws so I removed the setting. I guess one could say that if a name doesn’t show on the incoming call it’s a potentially spam call…..but some are legit. Will leave as is. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My main point was….does Telus ID these calls and terminate them. I assume not.&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank You.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
