PSA - New $15/500 MB plan available to existing customers on legacy $15 plan.

I just found this out today. I still have one account that is on a legacy $15 plan with no data, so now the account has 500MB data. There is also 100 long distance minutes included to select countries. This is a fantastic plan if only it were available to new customers.

@will13am Yes it great deal I saw another member mentioned this couple days ago and upgraded my $13 plan to it certainly good deal better the the $15 plan that’s offered to Quebec for new activations . Sometimes us existing customers get some good deals so long as we paying attention to the site and community . But thanks again for sharing sir

Is this also available to those on the $15/250MB / 100 minute plan? If so, my mother-in-law could double her data and get some long distance minutes. I'm assuming this plan also has unlimited calling?

@Handy1 Do you or anyone else know if it's available as a plan change option for those on the $15/250MB/100 minute plan? I know it's going to be a hassle to try and get my MIL to figure out how to get into her account, and I don't want to bother if we know it isn't an option.

Looks good. Will change over x 3.
Value for me is 4G and UNLIMITED Canada Wide calling.
Little to no value for the 100 minute LD destinations.
MY LOSS…..Will have thousands of “paid for” Canada Wide “minutes” PLUS LD “minutes” that will be redundant.

Now a question. When I change over…….will the account phone number be texted to by Public Mobile?

Plan change won't affect anything other than your have more data in this case

@SeniorCitizen No, if you initiate the plan to change yourself online, there's no need to respond to a text to confirm the plan change. That's only for those marketing special offers that go out to select customers.

Having said that, you may need to input a multifactor authentication code to sign into your account, but you can use email for that if you prefer.

You made change on your My Account using Change on Renewal

Before the change kicks in, you can go back My Account, Subscription & Add-on and it will show you have a pending change

So the 100 Minutes International are mainly for Asian Countries and the UK.

1. Will the 100 be used first vs purchased and freebie Add-Ons?

2. Will the 100 be used against U.S. calling? I remember there was talk about Add-Ons being used for other calls other than what they were purchased for.

Not complaining as the change is decent and we had to move to 4G.

BUT just FYI over my 3 accounts I will have no need for my Canada Wide Add Ons...value lost = $382

2. the new 100 mins cannot be used to call US, just those countries listed
