Hello all,

Hope you're having a great weekend.

I'm travelling to Scotland and England. I will definitely need my cell during these trips but need advice on using SIM/data service-how, where to access/purchase these. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

It will not work in Scotland or England. The options you have is to get an eSIM from here and then download an app like TextNow and pick a local number to where you live. Then you can use the data from the eSIM from Airalo to make and take calls.

We used giffgaff, and loaded the eSIM before travel. Immediate service when we got off the plane.

No searching malls or airports for SIM retailers!

It worked well, and was inexpensive.

EU roaming included (eg Republic of Ireland).

If your phone doesn't take eSIM, they will mail a free SIM card to you. Just don't try changing SIM's on the plane!

BTW, you can call home (check voicemail, talk to family etc), for free using Fongo.
