Make calls but can't receive calls

Hi, I've had SIM installed for 2 months. Haven't used phone much, as it's a spare.

Today, I can call out, but can't receive calls.

When someone calls, on their phone it rings a couple times, then message saying "Hang Up and try again later"

Any help would be appreciated

what make / model is your cellphone ? Does it have a "block incoming call" function that has been enabled ?

calling out is fine?

if you ported in your number, make sure the old carrier sim card is removed or if old one is esim , disable it

then Reboot and Reset network settings and let us now if it works

if still fails, try also changing the network mode to 3G and test

My main cell phone is iPhone 14, this 2nd phone is iPhone 14

so it seems like it's just my main cell that I use that isn't able to call the 2nd one. Other cells and land lines are able to call no problem.

I've checked all the blocked numbers, have deleted them all and still not able to call into that phone?

Hmm... One troubleshooting idea would be to swap the SIM cards between the two phones, and see if the problem stays with the same phone, or moves to the other phone?

Also, do you block outbound caller ID from your phone? If so, the setting to "block unknown callers" on the phone receiving your call could block your call...

OK, figured it out. Apparently a 2nd Mobile number was added to the same Contact and the Area Code was wrong, so it was dialing the 1st Mobile number with the wrong area code. Problem fixed.
