I wouldnt worry about it YET. Eventually, you might start noticing dropped calls, no ring tones.

But that list is about 2 years old. From my understanding, if you have a Samsung or Apple you should be good. It's mostly the non North American phones that are mostly affected.

I am concerned about planned Telus network changes that may affect PM customers. I feel my Mint service has been negatively affected by Tmobile network changes and fear the same may happen with Telus. Where can i find details on these changes?

Thanks, well that does concern me, as my phone is not on the VoLTE 'PM approved' list, even though its a 2024 model. Recommended solution is to go to Telus? What the heck?

I was wondering if this means that LTE service will get better. I had been using 3G service in a rural area because the reception was better. I don't necessarily mind 3G going away if it means I can get reliable LTE service in this area. Is this a realistic hope, and if so how long would it take to notice the improvement?

Yes, I can get 5G in that area, but LTE is more reliable than 5G. If you are talking, both 4G and 5G will drop the call, and sometimes require the phone to reboot before reconnecting. 3G would lose some words for a couple of minutes, but then start working properly again when you reach the other side. Sometimes it would receive, but not transmit so the other person could keep talking. Of course, the area is marked as fully operational on the coverage maps. I have a booster that is 3G/LTE, but I don’t find it really helps with LTE.
