    <description>&lt;P&gt;My old cellphone died, bought new phone and received new sim.Went to my account to change the SIM #.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My Umidigi Note 100 5G phone doesn't recognize the SIM CARD despite it being in slot # 1. I have reversed the card - maybe I put in the wrong way but, it still doesn't recognize it. At present time, if I put in my old SIM card it recognizes that one. (My old SIM card sits in my tablet at present.)&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Do I need to wait a certain amount of time before the new sim takes effect? I maintained the same cellphone number.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;a href="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/t5/user/viewprofilepage/user-id/296885"&gt;@Japonica&lt;/a&gt;&amp;nbsp;, if your old SIM card is still being recognized by a device, then it is probably still the active card for your account.&amp;nbsp; If you successfully change a SIM card, the change is immediate.&amp;nbsp; If the old SIM is still working perhaps it is not defective.&amp;nbsp; It could be the device has a defective SIM reader.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
