      <title>Did Public Mobile Whitelist all Android phones so VoLTE works on any device?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;As you all might be aware of OnePlus phones or any other generic Android phone not sold by carriers in Canada historically won't support VoLTE when making out going call.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I confirmed that with OnePlus 11 over a year ago. But, did something change?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;See attached image I found on Reddit.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I've seen false positives before on Reddit.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Does anyone have a OnePlus 11 or higher device or similar to try and see if VoLTE works when placing an outgoing call?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;From what I read Public Mobile is the only carrier so far to have done this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Need confirmation to validate this.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;span class="lia-inline-image-display-wrapper lia-image-align-inline" image-alt="1000032224.jpg"&gt;&lt;img src="https://productioncommunity.publicmobile.ca/skins/images/D358C8D565F088542DCB58E37E230E5D/responsive_peak/images/image_not_found.png" alt="1000032224.jpg" /&gt;&lt;/span&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt; &lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I can vouch that it appears Public Mobile have recently started doing away with their VoLTE whitelist.&amp;nbsp; I have a Umidigi phone that was VoLTE functional when the feature rolled out initially.&amp;nbsp; VoLTE was lost when the whitelist came out. Recently, I was able to get it back.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;As for VoLTE phone calls on the US, I believe that the calling feature is controlled by Public Mobile because all calls or any usage routes back to Canada and is filtered by Public Mobile.&amp;nbsp; The only reason why customers are not able to navigate calls while in the US is because they didn't have a 3G network to support calls when Public Mobile forces non whitelisted phones to make calls on 3G only.&amp;nbsp; Anyway I saw this day coming because there would eventually be a loss of customers when the 3G network is shut down.&amp;nbsp; Why should customers stay with a service that indiscriminately blocks VoLTE calls when other brands don't do that.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Family member has a Huawei P30 originally From SaskTel/Bell, and it's still dropping to 3G for calls after a restart but I haven't had enough time with it to see if there's any [hidden] menu options to tweak to enable it yet either.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Somewhat related. One of my kids has a OnePlus that has volte but because it's not on Telus whitelist, I get charge $3 per month for using 3g calling. Lol.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Okay for what it's worth. I have a OnePlus 12R and I am currently on Koodo monthly. At the top of my phone right beside the signal bars I have the volte symbol the letters and my signal bars say 4G. When I make a call it does not revert to 3G it stays on 4G and the Volte symbol stays up beside the bars as well so I assume that means that it is working but this is a little bit above my tech savvy.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I don't think it works on PM. My Huawei phone works fine with a Telus sim in it. Not with a PM sim.&amp;nbsp; My PM sim works fine with a Samsung phone. So it's the combination of the PM sim and Huawei phone that's not working for calls. Somehow data works.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Unfortunately, what's NOT included in that information is the fact they apparently discontinued support for non-VoLTE-compatible devices at the same time. I have an older OnePlus phone that can still make outbound calls, but no longer receives inbound calls or texts since the restrictions were removed. After three days of waiting for a reply from a customer agent, I am told I'll have to buy a new phone. So much for switching to Public Mobile to save money!&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Here is a reply I received a couple of days ago from PM CS:&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt;Starting November 13, 2024, TELUS will be removing existing VoLTE listing restrictions on remaining grey market devices (Xiaomi/OnePlus/ViVo/Oppo/Realme/Umi, etc) allowing them to connect to VoLTE&amp;nbsp;as long as the device is VoLTE&amp;nbsp;capable. Yet, we can not guarantee yet that your phone will be able to connect to our VoLTE network.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have a Oneplus 12R and it was not on the White list but VoLte works on PM now that I just switched. The way I understand it that they have removed all the VoLte restrictions ( see post below) so if your phone is VoLte compatible like mine is then it should work right now on PM. I am no expert tech so if someone knows different let us know.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
