    <description>&lt;P&gt;I initiated a port in of my number. Got the messages from the old provider, approved and everything. Now public mobile displays the number I was trying to port in. However if I turn off the old PM number on my iPhone, I loose connection. I also still receive messages at my old provider, so port in didn’t work but I can’t try again. PM says it’s not a valid number?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;did you get an temporary phone number before you request porting?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;you do not turn off that "old PM number" on iPhone.&amp;nbsp; So, you need to turn that number back on now.&amp;nbsp; &amp;nbsp;Once number ported, you reboot the phone and the number will update&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;but did you get a text from your old provider on your old provider sim? did you reply yes?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;there is a porting assistance team you can call and ask for update.&amp;nbsp; I can't post the number here, but I will message the number to your community inbox.&amp;nbsp; Please check and call them&amp;nbsp;&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
