topic Ported number but can't get incoming calls in Get Support

Hi all, I ported my number from Fido to Public Mobile 2 days ago. I received a text from Fido asking me to confirm the port, and I replied yes immediately, then took out the fido sim and started my phone with just the Public Mobile e-sim. Now I can make calls, and data works. But I can't receive calls, and I can't make or receive texts. I'm guessing something went wrong with the porting process? Any help is appreciated.

Thanks, I called the porting assistance number you messaged me. An automated voice told me they will send me a text to start the conversation. But since I can't receive texts, I can't get it. Any advice on how to proceed?

Well I fixed it... I popped my fido sim back into the phone and when I did, I had a few texts waiting for me. One was from fido saying something along the lines of "we sent you a message to authorize a port but you did not reply to it. Press 1 to re-initiate the request". But I definitely had replied to it within a minute of getting it. So anyways I pressed 1, then I got another text asking me to reply yes, this time I replies YES (all caps) whereas the first time I replied Yes so maybe that was the problem (it would be really dumb if their system is case sensitive). This time I received a confirmation text saying they received my confirmation. Then I took the fido sim out again and now everything works with the Public Mobile e-sim. Thanks to those who tried to help.
