Hi there Public Mobile Community - newbie just enrolled phone and I see contest entry bonus for Trip to Mexico - is this entry automatic or do I have to complete entry ? I do not see any further information on same since I activated phone. Thx. Ian

If you purchased a PM subscription with one of the CAN-US-MEX plans that list the Mexico contest, you are entered. The essay is only required for people to enter if they haven't purchased one of the plans. Canadian law says that you can't legally have a contest that people have to pay to enter without a lottery license - so they must provide a 'no purchase necessary' option in the fine print.

If you bought a CAN-US-MEX subscription you do not need to do the essay.

I'm not saying they have violated any law. They are within the law by offering a no purchase necessary option - but if you make a purchase from PM (which OP has), he/she does not need to do the essay (which is the NO PURCHASE necessary option).
