first, you won't get PM service in Europe. PM has roaming service in US and Mexico only

To have data service, buy local data sim or use Travel esim like Airalo.

For calls, download VoIP app TextNow. It works outside or Canada and US, ie in Europe as well. You can use it to make calls back to Canada and recieve calls when you are in Europe.

Some might suggest you to use Whtasapp. But keep in mind, Whatsapp won't be a solution for SMS. It just an app that you can talk with others using Whatsapp as well. Of course, if you are iPhone users, you can use iMessage and Facetime

No PM service outside of North America.

You would need local SIM or try any of free voip apps to use in the rest of the world.

There is only one way to proceed. Remove PM card and buy there a new one. They are very cheap in Europe, with almost unlimited data.
