Hi,

Is it possible to subscribe to completely new number and plan (Canada USA Mexico), while I am staying in USA? Indeed with esim.

Or the very first time the phone must be physically connected to the Canadian home network to be activated?

I don't know for sure as I have never tried but believe that it need to be done in canada before you go.

Depending on how long your staying you could get someone in canada to activate a sim card and mail it to you.

I could be wrong, but I believe that it is the address of the account and the credit card that determines whether the PM can be opened or activated. Good luck.

Hi @diams , my understanding is that you need a credit card, Visa Debit card, or Mastercard Debit issued by Canadian financial institutions & a Canadian address.

Are you able to download the Public Mobile app (required to signup for an account) there?

That is interesting that you don’t need to connect to the Telus network to activate an account.

I have a TextNow SIM that I need to activate while in the USA and connect to US wifi or T-Mobile network.
