Add-ons and subscription upgrades

I have several unused add-ons earned under my 3G subscription. What happens to them if I upgrade to 4G or even 5G? Will they remain in my account, become "incompatible" or simply disappear?

All of my holiday add-ons (data and long distance minutes) were gifted to me while I had a 3G plan. Last year, I switched to a 4G plan and I still have all of those holiday add-ons. I have switched my plans several times in the last few months and the the holiday add-ons still remain the same.

they'll stay until you use'em up...even if that takes several months or more. I have some from 2022 still. You can change plans without fear of losing 'em.

@EHMOBILE As far as I know only the bonus data plans become incompatible, and that's only if you switch to an unlimited data plan. Currently there are no plans with unlimited data. I have one and my bonus data become incompatible (still on the plan for later use if I switch back to a fixed data bucket though) but the bonus long distance minutes are still usable.

There actually is one plan within unlimited data that is avaialble to some existing customers. It includes 75GB of 5G speed data in Canada for $40.
